On Monday,
they were in bright and early to measure for the two blinds we decided to have
made new and to match the material to our other blinds. One guy of the ten couples who were there in
the parking lot started washing the windows on his RV and it caught on until
everyone was out washing windows. Greg
came in and made the comment that he couldn’t really tell if he was doing a
good job on the outside unless the inside of the windows were done at the same
time. I can take a hint so I got out the
Windex and coffee filters and started on the inside. One of the reasons we bought this coach was
because of all the big windows – thirteen of them in addition to the really
large front window. I was questioning
the wisdom of that thinking about half way through with the window washing. But, they do look really nice now.
On Tuesday,
the guy was at the coach to install the blinds before I got up. They needed our spot for another coach that
was coming in so they were moving right along with our install. The blinds look great, I’d take a picture,
but there isn’t much you can do with a window blind. Before the installer left he took a look at
the electric blinds for the front window.
We had been having trouble getting them to go up smoothly. It was a simple fix, a bad connection.
Tuesday
afternoon was travel time and we ran into a lot of this.
Going into
San Antonio our newly purchased Rand McNally GPS unit made especially for RV
travel quit working. So we had to fall
back on the ever reliable – Diana and the atlas. That meant I had to pay attention – bummer.
We are
definitely not in Kansas anymore. We are at the Travelers World RV Park in just outside of San Antonio.
We had
planned on staying 10 days, but we like the park so we decided to stay a full
two weeks and get in some extra sightseeing.
The weather
is beautiful, Greg is sitting outside taking advantage of a nice breeze. He’s actually waiting for the sun to go down
enough so it isn’t shining on the bike so he can clean it.This park has some nice amenities:
Fenced Pet
Park:
Laundry facility
And our
Halloween candy bucket that daughter Desira made several years ago. Note there isn’t any candy in it – the trick
or treaters have to catch us first.
