Texas, Waxahachie - Tuesday, May 5, 2015 - Hospitality of Friends

We are enjoying the hospitality of friends Greg and Pam for a couple of days.  There was a little apprehension when we saw the wooden fence and brick mailbox.

 

 

Then there is the telephone pole right across the kind of narrow road.

I don’t know why I worried, Greg came through again and backed it in on the first try – I might add though there were just inches to spare as the back end with the bike lift swung into the drive.

After we settled in Pam put together a wonder steak dinner.  We sat around the beautiful pool area and kept her company while she manned the grill J.

 

 

This is our view from the front window.  Aside from watching waves come in on a sandy beach, watching wheat sway in the wind is one of the most relaxing sights.

On the way out of Weatherford the wind was making this Texas flag into a beautiful sight.

Tonight we are going out to eat – I’ll probably embarrass everyone by taking pictures of our food.  Tomorrow we continue our trip to the East Coast.  Storms are coming into west Texas and the humidity is rising.  We are used to the humidity being below 10%, this plus 60% is quite a difference, we may have to crank up the dehumidifier.
