Texas, Canyon - Thursday, October 16, 2014 - Palo Duro Canyon State Park

This guy woke us up this morning by flying from this perch into the window on our bedroom slide out which is about a foot from my head – Hello, rude awakening!!  He is very persistent, he kept it up all day, flying from the bush to the awning perch into the bedroom window.  We tried putting the blinds up on the window and tried shooing him away but it didn’t work.  He did get a little less forceful as the day went on.

This is our view out the front window.  Check out the RV that is leaving the canyon.  That will be us tomorrow.

We decided to walk up to the wildlife viewing blind near the trading post.  Lots more beautiful views.

The viewing blind is down a short trail.

No action here this morning.

We walked a little further down the road to the stables where you can rent a horse.  No we didn’t rent horses, we just looked J

After our morning walk, this was my view for pretty much the rest of the day.  There were things I could have been doing inside but it was such a beautiful day I decided they could wait so I read a book and took a nap.
