Kansas Pratt - Wednesday, October 21, 2015 - Pratt County Lake

We decided to go a couple of times around Pratt County Lake to get in our two and a half miles of walking today.  When we pulled up, it looked like the rain might get here before we got finished.

 

 

I like walking out here, the lake and the scenery around it are beautiful.

 

 

 

 

We weren’t the only ones out enjoying what will probably be the last nice day of this week.  It looks like rain might hit us tomorrow.  We saw two mink (we think).  I wasn’t fast enough to get a picture of this one until he was moving away from us.  He is the black fuzzy thing on the right.

 

 

This one on the left was a little more curious.

The lake was full of turtles sunning on logs, but they usually heard us coming and jumped in the water before I could snap a picture.  This guy must have fallen asleep and didn’t hear us.

Not sure what these are, there were several of them sitting out on the rocks around the lake.  It looked like maybe they were placed there by something – maybe the mink?
