The cardinal woke us up again this morning. Since we were up we got an early start out of the canyon. It wasn’t
as slow going as we thought it would be.
I still held my breath a couple of times hoping that we didn’t meet
anyone as we came around some of those curves.
Hope there
is a road and no big RV’s around the bend.
We are
staying for the next three days at Oasis RV Resort in Amarillo.
This is our
site.
We are not
far from the clubhouse where there is a laundry facility, a small fitness
center, swimming pool and hot tub.
We picked up
a lot of dust on the bike while we were in Kansas. While Greg cleaned it up, I started doing
laundry. Our site in Palo Duro Canyon
had 50 amp electric and water, but no sewer so I didn’t do laundry there. We were just across the road from some very
clean restrooms and showers so we didn’t really miss the sewer hookup for no
longer than we were there.
There are
several of comfort stations throughout the campgrounds. There are several restrooms, a small laundry
and ice available at all of these stations.
We walked
back up to the office this afternoon so I could exchange some books. They have a small restaurant and gaming room
there.
