We left
Enchanted Trails early this morning to go to the Freightliner dealership that
was just down the road. They don’t take
appointments, we wanted to be one of the first in line so we might have a
chance of getting service and getting out of there at a decent time. Our check engine light had been coming on
intermittently since we were in Indiana.
We had it checked there and were told that it was nothing serious, we
just needed to get the computer updated.
As it turned out, it wasn’t too serious but it wasn’t that the computer
needed to be updated, the filter for the crank case ventilation needed to be
changed. This isn’t a filter that can be
reached easily so it’s a good thing it doesn’t have to be changed often.
We got out
of there about 2 o’clock and headed to our destination for the evening about 45
miles down the road – Sky City Casino.
There was
lots of beautiful scenery to admire, but a lot of it was visible out my side
window which makes for a blurry picture.
These are ones I could take out of the front window.
We read that Sky City had a campground so we thought it might be nice to check it out and try our luck at the casino.
The
campground is pretty plain Jane, but more than adequate for what we need for an
evening. It has full hooks ups and we got
a Good Sam discount so it was $22 for the night. You do have to watch out for sand burs
though, they are everywhere. The bottoms
of our tennis shoes were just covered with burs sticking in them, we crunched
when we walked. Don’t want to get those
inside where we walk around barefoot most of the time.
