Saturday
evening we were invited to dinner with good friends Greg and Dinah. We’ve known them since high school so we have
lots of things to reminisce about. They
live out in the country where it is nice and quiet. Their porch was a wonderful place to enjoy a
great meal of salad, lasagna and garlic bread.
Sunday we
spent at the gun club with daughter Desira and son-in-law Dan. We thought the trap shoot was going to be a
washout, it rained hard and the wind blew early in the morning. We were glad we had Desira’s car rather than
having to ride the motorcycle. By mid-morning
the sun came out and the shooters had a good day. When we left the gun club we went to a 60th
anniversary party for friends Jim and Marilyn – wow, did they ever have a lot
of well-wishers!

People I know! Greg was in my class. In elementary school, since the students were assigned to teachers in alphabetical order, Greg was always assigned to the same teacher. Since we usually sat in alphabetical order, he almost always sat behind me with Mark Orewiler in between and Rick Ormes behind Mark. My cousin, Beth Noel, was usually in front of me.
