Last night
we helped daughter Desira and son-in-law Dan with the trap shoot at the Fall
Creek Valley Conservation Club. We
register the shooters and record the scores when they are brought in from the
field. Here is Greg hard at work.
Today friends Barbara and Ann had horses running at Indiana Grand Race Track in Shelbyville so we went down to help cheer them on. We met another couple from Nashville, TN who are also friends of Barbara and Ann, I know their names, but not how to spell them so I won’t even try. It was a pleasure to meet them and spend an enjoyable afternoon.
Their first horse to run was Ms. Jelly Bean (if I remember right, she was born on Easter). She is a big horse with a long stride so she didn’t show her best in the short race she was in, but this is just the beginning of the season so we have high hopes for her later on.
The temperature was perfect for riding the motorcycle this afternoon. If the wind hadn’t been so ferocious it would have been a even better. My neck is a little stiff from the wind tugging on my helmet.
Evidently
our rough ride home from Tennessee knocked a piece of rust or sediment
somewhere it didn’t belong in the workings of our toilet. We could flush it, but the water just kept
running and then draining out. Since we
didn’t want to take a chance on it overflowing, we were shutting the water off
when we weren’t using it and when we were using it we kept the black tank open
so it wouldn’t fill up. This had
happened one other time and eventually whatever was stuck came loose and all
was well. I know Greg was dreading the
job of fixing this thing, so he is happy that once again it healed itself this
evening.
