Mississippi, Bay St. Louis - Friday, November 8, 2013 - Hollywood Casino RV Park

We are surrounded by Louisiana State fans getting together for the big game with Alabama this weekend.  Lots of LSU flags flying and big stuffed tigers on dashboards.  These folks really went all out, their RV is painted in LSU colors.

We walked around the park today and saw them setting up for a big hog roast.  They were putting up a windbreak on one side of the large outdoor pavilion here so they can set up their big screen tomorrow night.  I have a feeling these people really know how to party.

Yesterday morning I was so excited to see this little guy – a bluebird.  I haven’t seen a bluebird since we left North Vernon, IN in 2011.  In Indiana we saw a lot of blue jays but bluebirds were rare.  The woods on our property was home to a few bluebirds and I always enjoyed watching them.

We put up our flags for the Veteran’s Day weekend.  On Monday we plan on going to the nearby town of Waveland that has a Veteran’s memorial on a pier that goes out into the Gulf of Mexico.  Tomorrow we are going into Bay St. Louis for their “Second Saturday” celebration.  The last couple of days we haven’t been out doing too much, it’s been really windy and the temperature was down to 60!  Tomorrow is supposed to be back in the 70’s.

We walked up to the marina that is on site here, some pretty good sized boats there.

This picture shows the marina at the front and on beyond the tree line you can see the bay.

We went into the casino to get our players club cards and stopped at the quarter slots for a few minutes.  I put in $20 and came back home with $80, wish my luck was always like that.
