Arizona, Page - Friday, September 14, 2018 - Page Lake Powell Campground

Here we are killing time until we can get into our next campground, Page Lake Powell.  Check in time is 12:00 and we arrived in town at 10:30.  There was a time change and our travel time today was only about an hour.

Our drive from Kanab to Page led us through a small portion of the Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument.  The scenery here is just spectacular.

Up ahead on the right we can see the visitor center at the Glen Canyon Dam.  The bridge goes over the Colorado River.

Scenery is still good.

Crossing the bridge over the Glen Canyon Dam.  We found a parking spot just beyond the bridge where we can spend some time.

As we were walking back toward the bridge we saw this guy catching some sun.  Not sure what he is but I think this is the biggest lizard we have seen outside of zoos.

Cactus – we are back in Arizona!

Views from the visitors center of the bridge and the dam.

The water is deep and bright blue before it gets to the dam.

On the other side of the dam it is of course more shallow, lending it a greenish look.

The view from my recliner.  There is a nature trail just across from us, maybe tomorrow.  We will be here until Wednesday.
