Indiana, Markleville - Sunday, August 16, 2015 - Braxton's Birthday

The combine cake I decorated took its place of honor along with John Deere colored cupcakes for great grandson Braxton’s birthday party.

The whole party was agriculture themed.

A pretty large crowd gathered to celebrate and then some special guys showed up to grab something to eat.  Grandson Tyler is a firefighter so these guys knew where to go for a good meal.

Several people manned the grill getting things ready.  Tyler and Braxton took a turn.

Then Desira stepped in.

Great Grandpa Greg got the shift when it was spitting rain.

Tyler, Braxton and Desira enjoying the great lunch.

First thing in the morning Braxton declared he wasn’t going to the party.  As the day progressed he got into it as he directed Dad on which present to bring next.

For a while he got into unwrapping gifts, throwing paper at Dad so he could get to the good stuff at the bottom of the bag.

Then balloons just seemed more interesting.

What wasn’t interesting was blowing out candles and having everyone sing “Happy Birthday”, he wasn’t having any of that!!
